Publix Policy Changes as of October 1 2014

Sorry to say but this time the Rumor of Publix Changing their Policy is going to be a reality to some and will change the way that some people shop and coupon at your store that advertises themselves at being so coupon friendly.

As a blogger and admin to a coupon page I can tell you that this is going to cause an uproar in the coupon world. Though some will be glad of these changes even I think some of the new rules are a bit to much BUT I can understand why they had to do it.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE MAJOR CHANGES

We only accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor’s coupon on same item. Max of (2) coupons per item.

What this means is what I have been saying for years you can use one manufacture and either a Publix or Competitor Coupon on the Same Item which is maximum of two coupons per item.

Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor’s coupon per day, per household.
The total order before coupons must be equal to or greater than the combined purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s).
We consider competitor’s coupons for dollars off groups of items to be a dollars-off-total-order coupon and will only allow one per day, per household.

What this means is that you will no longer be able to split your transactions and you can only use one Winn Dixie $ off per day OR a Target $ off per day with a Publix $ off per day and that a Target (or Winn Dixie) $ off a group of items count towards a money off total and are limited towards the one per day.

We limit coupon redemption to eight of the same coupons per day, per household.
What this means is just as it states. So if you usually stock pile 10's of each item due to you buying 10 papers I would just buy 8 papers and stock pile in 8's. Again it could of been worse.

Money due back to the customer at the end of a transaction involving coupons will only be provided on a Publix gift card.

What this means is they no longer will be giving you cash money in your hand any cash back will be in the form of a Publix Gift Card.

Rainchecks are limited to one per day, per household for an item and they will not issue rainchecks for Publix, Competitor, or Manufactures Coupons.
What this means is that they will not be writing rainchecks to extend the life of the coupon. They have not gone into detail about the rainchecks but looking like they no longer will take expired coupons with a raincheck BUT we will have to wait to see how it all pans out.

The policy is actually not all that bad considering what my local stores do now. They have limit 2 deals sometimes because of the amount of couponers in this one area. BUT with all policy changes you learn to adapt or work around it no big deal.

HAPPY COUPONING STILL!
