I traveled out of my area to go and use some of my Sweetbay Coupons. I had received them in the paper and since the closing of some of the Sweetbay Stores in my area my local Publix now no longer takes Publix.
I went to the Publix on the other side of town and was blown away by the amount of couponers there. Even my son was shocked at all the Binders he saw! I was not planning a big trip just looking to use some of the coupons. So here is what happened!
Publix Trip Other Side of Town
(12) Yakisoba Noodles 97 cents bogo
(1) Onion Boiler Pack 2.39
(1) Package of Seasoned Pork 3.05
Total $11.26
Used (6) 1/2 Yakisoba Noddles 5/19 SS brought total to $5.26
Used (1) $3 off Meat Sweetbay brought total to $2.26
Used (1) $2.00 off produce
Paid 26 cents Saved $16.86!
Then I went across the street to Sweetbay!
(1) Pack of Chopped Meat 3.32
(4) Bulbs of Garlic 2.36
Total: $5.68
Used
(1) $3.00 off Meat brought total to $2.68
(1) $2.00 off Produce
Paid 68 cents!
I told the cashier I lived on the other side of town and with sick kids and the unpredictable weather and the travel I wont be using my other coupons. She said you can use them now just break up the transactions, I would ring them all together but it wont let me.
OH NO SHE DID NOT SAY THAT!
I went to the car and pulled some more coupons...
All Together I paid $10.82 and saved $47.00!
Which is really really good for doing this much savings with MEAT!
This brought me back to the times when I could use multiple Publix Coupons like that. The manager and cashier and store was so nice and I was also nice by handing out coupons and getting off the line and letting others go in front of me and not holding up the line.
Because in all actuality I would NOT of went back and used them or spent more then 68 cents at there store. So win win....
Next Trip was Publix
I had ordered Gas X and it came in
(10) Gas X priced at $2.49 each or $24.90
(2) loafs of bread $1.39 or $2.78
(1) Gallon of Choc Milk $3.29
(12) packs of Spanish Rice Clearance 67 cents or $8.04
(4) Big Packs of Yellow Rice Clearance $1.12 or $4.48
Total $43.49
Used
(5) $5/2 Flyer from last month RC brought total to $18.49
(10) $1/1 Gas X Coupons brought total to $8.49
(1) $5 off $30
Paid $3.49 Saved $59.62!
So all together today I spent $14.57 and saved $123.48!
Since a larger majority of that was meat it was a HUGE thing for my family. I coupon to feed my family.
