In 1988 a national coupon and promotions transaction settlement provider called Inmar started tracking coupon redemption.
In 1992 they started to see a spike in coupon redemption and by 2009 there where 3.8 billion coupons.
When coupons started to come on the rise back in 2009 coupons.com rated Tampa as the #2 most frugal cities just behind Atlanta. I mean everyone loves couponing but seems that the southern part of the map has this frugal thing on lockdown.
A few days ago a new study rated Tampa #9 in the Best Couponing City. New York came in at #1 but they have Rite Aid so that is probably why....lol.
