I decided to venture out on some shopping trips today. My first stop was CVS since I had some ECB but I could not find anything that I needed. I was hoping for some good clearance finds and maybe some free stuff but nothing. I did notice Makeup but I rather something else so I guess it was on to the next stop...

I left Publix and realized that I forgot my dog food so I decided to just go to Dollar General for a change of scenery.
I got one bag of dog food no coupon and paid $8.99 plus tax !
With two big dogs I think I should really stock up when a deal for dog food comes around but these dogs eat a lot!
BUT... yes there is a but. I hit the jack pot. I guess my couponer instincts knew to go to Dollar General because there just had to be a deal there and so there was. This is what I found....
I did not have any coupons but with deals this low at this moment
I did not need coupons. It was like Christmas in May!
(2) 6packs of SunnyD clearanced $2.25 now $1.12 each or $2.25
(1) Shout 2 Go Wipes Clearanced 50 cents now 25 cents
(3) pairs of kids socks clearanced 75 cents now 32 cents or 96 cents
(1) Hanes Working man shirt clearanced at $3.00 now $1.50
Paid just $4.96 plus tax!
I was happy about this because these are things that I need.
But I did notice some other things clearanced and KNEW that I had coupons to match so I went home got the coupons and went back. Here is what I got broken transactions.
(6) Frenchs Mustard clearanced $1.00 now 50 cents or $3.00
(2) Arm&Hammer Cat Litter clearanced $5.00 now $2.25 or $5.00
Total $8.00 which by itself is a steal!
Not sure how much I saved but I am thinking at least $16.00

Just paid tax which was about 33 cents!
So if you are out and about bring your binder and check the clearance sections in your local Dollar General you may just score yourself a hot deal!
